71 VISITPERDIDO.COM AS YOU NEAR DOWNTOWN PENSACOLA, you can't help but notice the large American flag waving in the wind, letting you know that you're approaching a Pensacola landmark: Joe Patti's Seafood. For more than 80 years, Joe Patti's has been serving the Pensacola Bay area and beyond. Originally located on Devillier's Street in Pensacola, Joe Patti's opened its door in the early 1930s, striving to sell only the highest quality fish and at a fair price. Joe, along with his wife Anna and their six children, all worked for the family business. Whether it was captaining their own shrimp vessel, serving customers, shaving ice or cleaning fish, you could find the entire family chipping in to help the market run smoothly. As Joe Patti's grew, they began distributing to restaurants all along the Gulf Coast; however, times changed and Joe decided to dedicate their focus to retail operations, rather than distribution. With that focus in mind, Joe Patti's began to expand into the market it is today, with a gourmet delicatessen of meats and cheeses, and a fresh sushi bar. Thankfully for its loyal patrons, Joe Patti's is open 361 days a year. On those days, you are sure to find the same family support and atmosphere as when they first opened.
