64 VISITPERDIDO.COM their daily specials. Though the food specials change throughout the year – from all you can eat shrimp to Taco Thursday and more – they always have awesome daily drink deals! Before you head over the bridge at Perdido Pass, pull off to the right and try the burgers at The Gulf. Whether you're hungry or not, you just can't beat that view. Take a moment to relax in their lounge chairs in the sand with a mojito in your hand. Just over the bridge, and our last stop in Alabama, is Cobalt. A sister-restaurant to Cosmo's, Cobalt provides its patrons with a stunning view of the Intracoastal with its spacious outside dining area. Whether you're craving their Cobalt Burger or some fresh yellowfin tuna, they have a large enough selection to satisfy everyone in your party. As we take a quick detour, we stumble upon two deliciously hidden gems in Lillian, AL. Pondera Plantation has a history as rich as its gravy. With Pondera being a county in Montana and Plantation referencing the old South, its menu is a delightful blend of Western food with Southern flair. The bacon- wrapped chicken with BBQ dipping sauce says it all, as well as the Coastal Chicken Fried Steak smothered in gravy. Make sure you ask about the history of Hazel and Willie while you're there! Our second Lillian restaurant is Reileigh's Daybreak Café. This adorable diner has all of the classic Southern food your heart desires. With its memorable Frito Pie, traditional chicken tenders and yummy fried pickles, you'll come hungry and leave wanting a nice long and cozy nap.
