44 VISITPERDIDO.COM Activities for All The Perdido area offers more than just water recreation! Check out all of our local attractions on p. 94 of the Directory. RACE YOUR FRIENDS AT THE TRACK IN GULF SHORES ; The most asked question we get from visitors to Perdido: What is there to do for fun around here? The answer is not as simple as you would think, considering just how much there is to do. Looking for kid-friendly activities? Luckily, we are a very kid- and family- friendly desination, so finding an activity is no problem. For water fun (as highlighted on page 40), try one of our many dolphin cruises, fishing excursions, or relaxing boat rides on page 98. You can even rent your own boat for a family day trip. For the land-lubbers in the group, there's always some enjoyable mini-golf, go karts, or Segway tours (pages 94-97). If you want a more hands-on experience, you definitely need to try the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, Uncle Sandy's Macaw Bird Park, or request an afternoon with Reno's Reptiles. If it's too hot outside, check out the indoor fun at the National Naval Aviation Museum. From the Giant Screen Naval Aviation Memorial Theater to the flight simulations, the kiddos (and you!) will have a blast. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, drop by the Naval Air Station and watch our spectacular Blue Angels soar in the clouds during their practices. On some Wednesdays, the pilots will come inside the museum to meet the crowd and sign autographs. Speaking of watching people do amazing things, you'll need to go catch a Blue Wahoos baseball game while you're here! The Pensacola Blue Wahoos are the Double A Affiliates of the Cincinnati Reds, and they are the perfect way to spend a sunny afternoon with family and friends. Grab a hot dog, kick- back, and enjoy the beautiful view of the stadium, which sits right on the water at Pensacola Bay. If you're looking for more adult activities, you can always pop over to the Pensacola Greyhound Track and try your hand at poker or watch a race. There is also the Good Time Tours bus that will take you to Biloxi, Miss., for a fun day out and then bring you back. : CATCH A BLUE WAHOOS BASEBALL GAME IN DOWNTOWN PENSACOLA ) CONTINUED ON PAGE 47
