Maxwell St., Pensacola, FL 32501) is only slightly smaller in enrollment than Escambia County, with about 1,500 students and 88 full-time teachers, thus making their student to teacher ratio 17:1. They provide sporting opportunities such as swim and dive, volleyball, girls and boys soccer, and football. Additionally, there is Pensacola Catholic High School, which is a private school located at 3043 W. Scott St., Pensacola, FL 32505. With just under 600 students and 32 full-time teachers, their student to teacher ratio is 16:1. They offer student activities ranging from football to cross country to dance team and more. Those looking to continue their education into college are in luck, because we have a great selection of colleges nearby. Pensacola State College offers two- and four-year degrees in a wide variety of studies on multiple campuses. Their main and largest campus is located at 1000 College Blvd., Pensacola, FL 32504. PSC proudly ranks in the Top 100 in the nation in the number of associate degrees awarded. The college, one of the area's longest running, celebrated its 65th anniversary in 2013. In the area we also have the University of West Florida (11000 University Pkwy., Pensacola, FL 32514), which recently welcomed the Argonauts, its first football team, as well as Troy University just up the road (600 University Ave., Troy, AL 36082). For some out-of-school fun, experience one of the most exciting and immersive learning adventures aboard the world's largest simulated aircraft carrier in the National Flight Academy, offered through the National Naval Aviation Museum. Participants choose from a one-, three- or six-day adventure in a multi-story 102,000 sq. ft. facility surrounded by advanced technology, flight simulators and virtual reality games. This one-of-a-kind journey will ignite the imagination and is sure to inspire interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
